Announcing a new alliance between ourselves and the leading Linear Guidance manufacturer-THK. The new distributorship was the cornerstone in the decision to invest over £100,000 into new machinery and THK stock. Acorn took a key decision to invest in a precision abrasive wheel cutting machine to cut linear rails. This very high quality machine will enable Acorn to supply rails to a customer's exact specifications and despatch the items within 24 hours - eliminating the long delivery times traditionally associated with linear guidance systems.
In addition, Acorn Linear has invested heavily in THK products to ensure they can satisfy customer requirements from stock. THK is the leading manufacturer of linear motion systems with over 2,800 employees and a world market share of approximately 50%.
